About Us
Lions Club of Belgaum – Shahapur is one of the most active NGO and is a part of The Lions Clubs International. The Club was started on 25thMarch, 1990 & belongs to Lions District 317 B, comprises of Clubs from Goa and 13 revenue districts of Karnataka. The Organization consists of members from different walks of life who have volunteered to work together towards the betterment of the society.Our Club ventured into a prestigious and permanent project i.e. SHAHAPUR LIONS DIALYSIS CENTER, a unit of “SHAHAPUR LIONS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION” an organization registered under Society’s Registration Act 1960.
On 23rd March, 2018 we inaugurated the Dialysis Center specially to help the financially challenged and underprivileged patients suffering from kidney disease/failure. This disease snatches the lives of thousands every year. We are running this Dialysis Center with a Motto to serve the needy.The Dialysis Center is located at Hindwadi & the premises are made available for the Noble cause by Shri Sanjay Patil, Adhishtata, Gomatesh Vidyapeth.
